Los Angeles, CA — The Tigers defeated the 10th ranked Pacific Boxers 8-6 on Saturday afternoon after dropping the first game 10-6.
Oxy scored all six runs in the first match via home runs as First Baseman Ari Solomon, Left Fielder Antonio Andrade, Shortstop Ryan Cacatian, and Second Baseman Michael Ingram each hit one. Boxers' Pitcher Will Clark earned the win and quality start.
In the second game, Oxy got off to a hot start with four runs in the 2nd inning thanks to RBIs from First Baseman Jodhan Fine, Right Fielder Tom Stoodt, and Catcher AJ Naha as well as a sacrifice fly from Center Fielder Andrew Synder. In the bottom of the 7th, with the game tied 6-6, Naha batted in the go-ahead runs on a single. Naha also led the team in RBIs and hits with three of each.
Tigers' Pitcher Justin Hirschberg earned the win in the second game and had a team high five strikeouts.
Next Game: The Tigers will face the Boxers at home again for the third game of the series on Sunday at 11:00am.
