Los Angeles, CA — The Occidental Tigers lost to the Pacific Boxers in a close game on Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers had a strong start going up 5-2 in the bottom of the 3rd inning mainly thanks to a 3-run homer by Shortstop Ryan Cacatian. The Boxers, however, managed to make the comeback off of home runs by Right Fielder Drew Thomas in the 7th inning and Designated Hitter Ryan Krout in the 8th inning. The Tigers continued to battle and were able to drive in an additional run in the bottom of 8th.
The Tigers combined for 11 hits during the game with Designated Hitter Antonio Andrade leading with three. Oxy Pitcher Diego Ramirez led both teams in strikeouts with six while also only allowing two runs through five innings.
Next Game: The Tigers will play George Fox University at home in a doubleheader on Saturday.
