Los Angeles, CA — On Tuesday, the women's volleyball team hosted The Master's University in their first home game of the season. Each team played competitively, swapping the lead multiple times over the course of each set. Oxy pushed Master's beyond the standard 25 points in the first set, but ultimately fell in three close games (27-25, 25-18, 25-23).
Offensively, Lizzy Kerman led the team with 10 kills, followed by Ariana Carranza with 8 and Lindsey Nurse with 6. Nurse had the highest kill percentage for the Tigers with .600. Defensively, libero Iris Archibald held back the Master's offense with quick footwork on the back line, gathering 10 digs. Estelle Harsh and Kerman assisted with 7 digs each. Altogether, the Tigers communication on the court was excellent and holds great promise for the season. They covered each other and laid out to make some impressive saves on the court.
