Los Angeles, CA — On Wednesday, the women's volleyball team took on UC Santa Cruz in an intense four-set match. The Tigers took the first set and pushed the third set into the thirties, but Santa Cruz came through with the win, taking three out of the four sets. Both teams fought hard until the very end, with the Tigers showing great improvement!

Estelle Harsh led the Tigers with 8 kills, and Lindsey Nurse and Aniya Hawthorne each tallied 7 kills, generating offensive momentum. Aniya Hawthorne had a hitting percentage of .333, the highest on the team, acting as a driving force in the middle.

On defense, Lizzy Kerman picked up 17 digs, hustling all over the court to keep the Tigers in it! Both Ariana Carranza and Estelle Harsh contributed in the back court with 8 and 9 digs, respectively. Throughout the match, the Tigers persevered during pressure situations and came together to create some amazing plays. Although conference play has yet to start, the Tigers have proved they will always put in the work and play their hardest until the very last point!
