Los Angeles, CA — On Tuesday, the women's volleyball team competed against Cal Lutheran in their first conference match of the season! Both teams gave an all out effort throughout the intense three sets, with the Tigers pushing the second and third sets into the 20's. Cal Lutheran ended the night with the win, but the Tiger's competed for every point!
Offensively, Estelle Harsh led the Tiger's with 9 kills and Lindsey Nurse was close behind with 7! Nurse also had an impressive hitting percentage of .294, which was the highest for the Tiger's. Together the Tiger's were able to generate strong momentum on the front line with 30 kills!
Iris Archibald dominated in the back row with 12 digs, making scramble plays to keep the Tiger's in it. Both Kat Chodaczek and Lizzy Kerman tallied 6 digs, showing their dedication to keeping the ball in play. All around, the Tiger offensive and defensive gave a strong performance with every player giving 100 percent! As the season progresses, Tiger volleyball will continue to improve and demonstrate their perseverance for the sport, and the team!
