REDLANDS, Calif. – Swim & Dive kicked off its season at the Redlands Pentathlon on Saturday, October 5. Oxy swimmers participated in each swim event as they gear up for the 2024-25 season.

On the women's side,
Sarah Radle posted four top-10 performances at the Pentathlon. She headlined her day with a victory in the 100 Free. Her 54.15 bested the field by nearly a second. She added two second place finishes in the 100 Fly and 100 IM and a sixth-place finish in the 100 Back.

Kamille Pellettieri had a nice showing in the 100 Breaststroke, finishing in fourth place. She posted a time of 1:11.16.

Matthew Spruance led the men with three top-10 finishes. Spruance placed second in the men's 100 Fly, notching a time of 52.48. He finished third in the 100 IM and eighth in the 100 Back.

Josh Biggs was the lone Tiger on the men's side to earn a first-place victory. Biggs paced the 100 Free at 47.69, less than a tenth of a second ahead of the second-place finisher.

Nate Pittroff placed fourth in the men's 100 Breaststroke, earning a time of 59.98. Pittroff was one of four swimmers to post a time under one minute.

Oxy Swim & Dive is back in action November 2 when they host Caltech in the first SCIAC meet of the season.
