MONTEREY PARK, Calif. – Swimming and Diving finished up a historic showing at the SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships hosted by Pomona-Pitzer at East Los Angeles College, earning a fifth-place finish on the women's side and sixth on the men's side. The men picked up their first champion finish in 10 years.

SCIAC CHAMPION!

Connor Grant earned the Tiger men's first individual SCIAC Championship since Steven van Deventer won his sixth in the breaststroke in the 2015 championships. Grant's victory came in the 200 Free, a mark that he set a school record in twice over the weekend.

Grant's Friday night victory came in at a 1:39.48, over a full second over his initial school record set Wednesday, opening the 800 free relay. Grant came in less than .2 seconds off the final NCAA B-Cut time.

PODIUM FINISHES

Apart from Grant, another bunch of Tigers earned an All-SCIAC finish over on Day One. The women's 800 free relay notched a third-place finish with a time of 7:44.45.

Kamille Pellettieri.

Occidental Swim & Dive smashed its performance from a year ago where they notched one school record, and this year's bunch of seniors capped off illustrious careers with six of the nine graduating Tigers contributing to a new school record.
