Swim & Dive falls at Claremont

CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Occidental Swimming & Diving team competed against Claremont-M-S on Saturday, January 4, in the teams first meet since November 24.
 
The men's team fell 224-72 in the dual meet, while the women lost 239-53. The Tigers posted some notable performances in the pool despite the final scores against the No. 16 Stags and No. 18 Athenas.

Grant, a part of four top-three finishes and an individual first place finish, picked up his second win of the season on the 200 free. His mark on Saturday came in less than two seconds slower than his victorious mark on November 23.
 
Spruance picked up his first individual victory of the season, racing to the top in the 100 breast. He was also a part of the 200 medley relay team that placed third.
 
Radle added the third first-place finish for the Tigers in the 100 free. She set the school record in the 50 free in November and continued her successful season with two top-three finishes.
 
The Tigers are back in action on Saturday, January 11. The dual meet against Chapman marks Oxy's final home meet of the season.
