CLAREMONT, Calif. – Track competed at the Rossi Relays over the weekend, with six athletes making their way, or moving up the record books.

Chelsea Groves has had a stellar start to the 2025 campaign. The senior, already named SCIAC Field Athlete of the Week, moved her way into the hammer throw record books, tossing it 129 feet, good enough for 10
th place. Groves skyrocketed into the fifth spot after a 39-foot two-and-a-half-inch shot put throw earlier this month.

Zoey Hrabe,
Phoebe Ogden,
Isabel Yaffe and
Elizabeth Hawley tallied a 49.38 in the 4x100 relay, placing ninth on the all-time list. Hawley and Yaffe were a part of last year's bunch that tallied the Tigers' third-fastest time in school history.

Jenna LeNay improved upon her place in the 3k history books. The junior finished the race in 10:14.07 to leap into ninth all time.

On the men's side, the 4x100 relay of
Collin Glick,
Shane Kawakami-Williams,
Khylee Jackson and
Zachary McGraw placed the top Division III mark of 42.04. The 4x400 relay also notched third place. McGraw, Kawakami-Williams,
Peter Villano and
Oliver Yue finished the race in 3:21.15.

Villano added a fifth-place mark in the 400 hurdles – the top mark of SCIAC hurdlers came in 57.74 – nearly three seconds faster than the sixth-place finisher.

The Tigers are back in action this weekend at the SCIAC Quad Cup. They Cal Lutheran, Claremont-M-S, Pomona-Pitzer and Whittier at Claremont-M-S.
