LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Greta Nagy and Elina Shalaev earned All-SCIAC recognition on Wednesday, April 30.
 
Nagy earned SCIAC Newcomer of the Year honors and a first team selection. In her first year, Nagy went 10-7 on the season in singles with ranked wins over Caltech and Vassar's No. 1 singles competitors. She earned the Tigers' only point over Claremont-M-S.
 
In doubles, Nagy went 13-6, 10 wins with Shalaev and a 3-0 record alongside Sydney Sasaki.
 
Nagy is the Tigers' second SCIAC Newcomer of the Year. Nasir Luna of men's basketball earned the honors in February.
 
Shalaev was consistent in the No. 2 spot for the Tigers, earning a record of 9-5 in singles matches and a 13-6 record in doubles. Shalaev earned SCIAC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week after an impressive showing in Texas.
 
The Tigers missed the SCIAC tournament with a 1-5 record in SCIAC play.
