Occidental Athletics celebrates NCAA DIII Week

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Occidental College Athletics is excited to celebrate NCAA DIII Week.
 
As an NCAA Division III institution, Occidental College is devoted to providing a high-quality academic and athletic experience to its over-400 student-athletes. It's a population that boasts a cumulative GPA over 3.4 and 15 All-SCIAC award recipients over the first two athletic seasons.
 
HIGHLIGHTS FROM 2024-25 SEASON THUS FAR
Men's soccer reached the SCIAC Tournament for the third-straight season.
 
Jenna LeNay reached NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships for the second time.
 
Connor Grant became the first swimmer to win a SCIAC Championship in 10 years while the Tigers as a team shattered eight school records in the pool.
 
Men's water polo knocked off No. 1 ranked Claremont-M-S on a last-second full-pool buzzer beater.
 
Andie Angelacci became the first women's lacrosse goalie in history to eclipse the 400 save mark.
 
Adam Elshamy set a men's golf program record with 10 birdies across two rounds of play at the Sonoma State Invite.
 
Nasir Luna was named SCIAC Newcomer of the Year and D3hoops.com Region-10 Rookie of the Year – the first time a Tiger has received those awards in recent history, dating back to 2006. His teammate Jacob Hamermesh earned the Ted Ducey award for his leadership qualities on and off the court.
