KEY NOTES
A year ago, the Tigers opened the SCIAC slate with a win at Caltech and an unforgettable buzzer-beater win over then No. 1 ranked Claremont-M-S. This time around, the Tigers wait until November 12 to host the Stags, but it will be another packed night game at De Mandel.
 
One of the most even playing fields in Division III athletics, the Tigers lost seven games by either one goal, or in overtime in 2024. The difference between a 9-3 conference record with a shot at the national title, and their 2-10 SCIAC finish. The Tigers' ability to close out games in the early half of the conference season could prove instrumental in the team's success.
 
For a nine-game stretch at the beginning of the season, eight of the Tigers games will be against Division I or II opponents. Oxy only faced three DII or better opponents in 2024.
