LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Griffen Rogers was named SCIAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday, February 9.
 
The sophomore shined in his debut performance on the mound, striking out five of the seven batters he faced across two scoreless innings. Rogers picked up a save in the Tigers first game of the season and allowed only one baserunner in two appearances.
 
Rogers was impressive at the plate, going 5-for-12, scoring five runs in Oxy's series victory over Centenary.
 
Rogers and the Tigers are back in action this weekend, taking on Lewis & Clark with a three-game set kicking off with a double header on Saturday, February 14. First pitch of game one is set for 11 a.m.
