LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Occidental baseball's Griffen Rogers has been named to the 2026 D3baseball.com All-Region 10 Second Team and ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region X Third Team.
The ABCA/Rawlings All-Region teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and recognize the top collegiate baseball players in the nation.
These honors come after also being named to his first career All-SCIAC First Team thanks to his impressive 2026 sophomore season.
The two-way player makes a difference for the Tigers in all aspects of the game, providing contributions on the mound, in the batter's box, on the base paths and playing gold-glove defense in the infield and outfield.
Rogers' speed and versatility were instrumental in helping Oxy to the program's winningest season since 2019.
Offensively, the sophomore shined, slashing .372/.455/.467 while ranking third on the team in hits (51), and first on the team in runs (44) and stolen bases, going a perfect 24 for 24 in steal attempts on the season.
On the mound, Rogers was tabbed with the responsibility of getting the most important outs of games in the biggest spots, earning seven saves on the season which is tied for 19th most in the nation and only four saves behind the most in the nation.
In his 28.2 innings pitched on the season the southpaw also earned three victories while striking out 39 batters and holding opposing hitters to a .224 batting average against.
Further showcasing his ability to make an impact all over the field, Rogers played both center field and first base this season, sporting a .993 fielding percentage making only one error in 150 chances in the field.
Both Rogers and the Tigers will look to build on this season when he returns for his junior campaign in 2027.
