After picking up sweeps on day one over Swarthmore College and 2009 NCAA participant NYU Poly, day two brought a rematch with UC Santa Cruz, and this time the Tigers were able to knock off the Banana Slugs after falling to the Cruz to open the 2010 campaign. In the final match of the tournament, Oxy faced off with one of the top teams from the South Region, the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets who also had advanced to the 2009 NCAA tournament. The Black and Orange (20-2) put together one of their best matches of the season as they handed the Yellow Jackets only their second 3-0 loss of the year.

Logan Boyer-Hayse opened the tournament with 21 kills in leading Oxy to a sweep of Swarthmore. Alyssa Mort and Stephanie Gann came up with a combined 14 kills of their own to pace the offense.
After two strong sets, Oxy struggled to put away the Swat, after being up by five midway through the third set the offense stalled and the Pennsylvania squad battled back to tie the set at 24 all. The match went into overtime, but a kill by Aly Fritz and Boyer-Hayse ended the match, as the Black and Orange took the third set 30-28.

The defense shined in this match, holding the Fighting Blue Jays to just 18 kills on the night, led by Kasey Rose's match high 10 digs. Rose also served up a season high 6 aces.

Oxy d. UC Santa Cruz 25-19, 24-26, 25-14, 25-19
Day two of the tournament pitted the Tigers against the Banana Slugs in a rematch of the Black and Orange season opener. UC Santa Cruz played great defense to hand the Tigers that season opening defeat but Oxy was ready this time around.
The Tigers jumped out to a quick lead and held on for a six point win in set one but then the Banana Slugs returned the favor with an 11-4 run to open the second set, holding off a late rally to tie the match at one set apiece.
Oxy responded with a dominating final two sets, fueled by the double double of Boyer-Hayse (26 kills and 12 digs) and best match of the tournament by Gann (16 kills and 1 stuff block), the Tigers rolled to a third set win and held off the Cruz late in the fourth to repay the Banana Slugs for that season opening loss.
Mort chipped in with 8 kills and the defense once again came up big with double digit performances by Kathryn Bockmon (13 digs), Rose (14 digs) and a match high 30 by Cassidy.
Altman stepped up with 52 assists.
Oxy d. Randolph Macon 25-15, 25-18, 26-24
In the final match of the tournament, the Tigers matched up with the Yellow Jackets, who came into the tournament with a 15-2 record and are the defending ODAC champions.
Oxy played well against one of the top South region teams, cruising to an opening 25-15 win, and then taking a 2-0 lead behind a 25-18 decision in the second set.
Powered by a balanced offensive effort from Boyer-Hayse (12 kills), Gann (12 kills) and Davis (7 kills) the Tigers kept Randolph Macon off balance.
But the Yellow Jackets took an early lead in the third set, and turned it into the closest set of the match, but behind the strong blocking effort from Fritz (6 stuff blocks), the Black and Orange turned back the ODAC champions by a two point margin to close out the set.
Next up the Tigers (20-2, 7-1) return to Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action riding a ten match winning streak into a Tuesday (October 19th) night showdown with the Pomona Pitzer Sagehens with first serve is scheduled for 7:30pm.
