Box Score 2 LOS ANGELES — Jeffrey Johnson had four hits and an RBI, Charlie Caccamo added three hits and an RBI, and Johnathan Brooks left the yard to extend his hitting streak to 28 games.
But the Tigers couldn't hold on down the stretch as Cal Lutheran swept the Tigers Saturday afternoon, 7-5 and 14-0.
With the losses the Tigers fall to 19-16 overall and 14-10 in SCIAC play, putting them in sixth place heading into the round robin final week of the regular season.
The Tigers will host a doubleheader on April 25 first playing eighth-place Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, followed by a match-up with the first-place Cal Lutheran.
After homering in Game 1, Brooks couldn't connect in the second game, ending his hitting streak at an impressive 28 games.
