Los Angeles, CA — The Occidental Tigers battled hard in the last two games of the series against George Fox on Sunday, but it ended in wins for the Bruins.
The first game on Sunday, which was the continuation of the game that started on Saturday, ended in a 9-7 defeat for Oxy after 12 innings. The two teams were tied at 6-6 going into extra innings but a three run spurt in the 12th inning by the visiting team was too much for Oxy to overcome. The Tigers combined for 15 hits compared to the Bruins 13 with Designated Hitter Ari Solomon leading both teams with four hits.
In the second Sunday game, the Tigers lost 16-9 to George Fox. Both sides put on an impressive offensive display with the Bruins getting 13 hits and Oxy with 12. The Tigers were led by Solomon, Left Fielder Antonio Andrade, and Third Baseman Preston Chong with two hits each.
Next Game: The Tigers will travel to face Cal State Bernardino next Sunday.
