Claremont, CA — The Oxy baseball team lost to the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens 7-3 on Friday despite having more hits throughout the game.
Oxy opened the scoring in the 1st inning when Right Fielder Andrew Snyder hit a solo home run on the first at-bat of the game. The Tigers kept the 1-0 lead for the first half of the game but the Sagehen offense came alive later in the game. The Tigers had nine hits compared to eight for the Sagehens. Designated Hitter Jodhan Fine and Second Baseman Ryan Cacatian led the team with two hits each. Oxy Pitcher Diego Ramirez went seven innings while only allowing two earned runs.
Next Game: Oxy will finish the series against Pomona-Pitzer with a Saturday doubleheader at home.
