Tigers Beat Kingsmen on Senior Day

Los Angeles, CA — The Occidental baseball team celebrated senior day with a win over Cal Lutheran on Saturday's doubleheader.

Oxy won the first game of the day by a score of 6-1. While trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the 1st inning, Oxy Right Fielder Andrew Snyder hit a solo home run to tie the game. In the 3rd inning, Designated Hitter Ari Solomon hit a 3-run homer to give the Tigers a 4-1 lead. Catcher Jonathan Marshall followed this trend with a solo home run in the 6th inning. The Tigers outhit the Kingsmen 8-1 in the game as Solomon led the team with three hits. Oxy was led on the mound by Caleb Reyes who pitched the whole game while only allowing one hit and zero earned runs,

Cal Lutheran won the second game on Saturday 12-2. The Kingsmen jumped out to an early lead with four runs in the 1st inning and held on for the rest of the game. Center Fielder Ryan Cacatian got a run back for the Tigers in the 5th inning with a solo home run. First Baseman Sancho Llamas led the team with two hits in the game.
