Senior Jack Winterbauer was given the Friday start for Oxy and delivered a strong performance on the mound. In 7 innings Winterbauer struck out 6 batters while allowing 4 earned runs, keeping the game close and giving the Tigers' offense a chance to threaten a Sagehen lead at any moment.
2 Tigers had multi hit games on Friday, as Ari Solomon and Jonathan Marshall each had 2 singles in 4 at bats against Sagehen pitching. Solomon was a key contributor on defense as well, helping the Tigers defense turned two double plays on the day.
Nicholas Gonzalez went 1-3 on the day with a walk and a double down the left field line.
