Redlands, CA – The Occidental men's and women's track and field team showcased their talent at the Redlands Invitational in March, held at Ted Runner Stadium. Despite facing stiff competition, the Tigers delivered a few standout performances across various events.
The relay teams blazed their way to a commendable third-place finish. The women's 4x100 meter relay team clocked a time of 49.23 seconds and the men's 4x100 meter relay team crossed the finish line in 42.39 seconds. Their swift baton exchanges and synchronized efforts highlight their exceptional teamwork.
Delphine Way was speedy in the women's 400 meter dash, securing fourth place with a time of 1:01.10. Shane Kawakami-Williams continues to impress in the sprints, earning fourth place in the men's 100 meter dash with a time of 10.80 and third place in the 200 meter dash with 21.67. In the men's long jump, Emerson Ames displayed remarkable talent, soaring to fourth place with a leap of 6.65 meters (21'10").
