LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Jenna LeNay was named SCIAC Cross Country Athlete of the Week on Monday, Sept. 23 after her historic performance on Saturday at the Highlander Invitational.
 
LeNay's personal-best 17:30.8 was not only good enough to nab first place at the UC Riverside-run meet, but it was the fastest 5k recorded by an Oxy distance runner in head coach Rob Bartlett's tenure with the Tigers. Bartlett began his time at Oxy in 2005.
 
LeNay and cross country are off this coming weekend, but are back in action October 4 at the Division III Pre-Nationals in Terra Haute, Ind. Some runners will travel to the Midwest, while others will compete at the Masters Invite in Santa Clara, Calif., October 5.
