LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Jack Schroeder earned SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season on Monday, October 27.
 
Schroeder picked up 29 saves in the Tigers' two victories – 15-12 in OT over Whittier on Wednesday and 14-11 over La Verne on Saturday. Schroeder's best performance came against Whittier, where he notched a career-high 20 saves. After an early goal in the first overtime period, Schroeder held the Poets scoreless through the next 5:15 of overtime.
 
Schroeder and men's water polo now sit at 4-3 in SCIAC play in the No. 4 spot after winning four of their last five games. They're back in action this week at Cal Lutheran on Wednesday.
