Box Score LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Women's Tennis dropped its home opener, 6-1 to UC Irvine on Saturday, February 22.
 
The Tigers' Greta Nagy earned an impressive win in the No. 2 singles slot, besting her opponent in a three-set tiebreaker. Nagy won the first set decisively 6-3, but fell 7-6, forcing the third – the only match to reach three sets on the afternoon. Nagy came away victorious, 10-8 in the tiebreaker to earn the Tigers' lone point.
 
Despite the loss, an impressive showing from the first year to nab a point against a Division I opponent.
 
The Tigers are back in action on Sunday, February 23 in leg two of a doubleheader with the men's team, both face UC Santa Cruz.
