Box Score 2 LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Men's tennis split its doubleheader to open the season, losing to Hope International 5-2, then beating Jessup 7-0 on Saturday, February 8.

The Tigers earned the doubles point with victories in second and third doubles.
Brett Miller and
Dhruv Verma won 6-1 in the two spot, while
Mason Hart and
Konan Sahara got the 7-6 win in the third slot.

Oxy's luck ran out in singles with
Jack Yurich picking up the only point from there on out with a 6-4, 6-2 win. Three Tigers forced third sets but came up empty in each one.

Match Two – Jessup, W 7-0

Dominance all the way through for the Tigers, sweeping the Warriors in match two.
Brett Miller and Ron Chen nabbed the victory in first doubles, 7-6.
Ace Andres and
Mason Hart picked up a 6-3 victory to clinch the double point.

Dennis Isak, Ben Burrows, Sahara, Hart, Verma and Chris Swanson all won their singles matches to earn the sweep. Isak cam from behind, dropping set one 4-6, winning the next one 6-4 and the tiebreaker 10-3. A riveting tiebreaker on court five saw Verma edge out a 14-12 victory.
