LOS ANGELES, Calif. –
Tate Ransom was named First Team All-SCIAC on Wednesday, April 29.
Â
After missing his whole first season, Ransom bursts onto the SCIAC scene as one of the conference's top talents.
Â
Ransom skyrocketed to as high as fourth in the region in the NCAA West Region rankings and seventh in the ITA regional rankings. Most recently, Ransom was tabbed No. 46 in the nation on the ITA rankings.
Â
Ransom was 8-5 in Division III matches in the spring. He had marquee wins over NCAA No. 8 regionally-ranked Aram Izmirian of Chapman and No. 5 Alexander Stage of Whitman. Ransom was no slouch in doubles either, winning nine matches alongside doubles parter,
Mason Hart.
Â
Ransom and the Tigers ended the season 7-12 and 3-4 in SCIAC play. Being ranked No. 4 by the NCAA, Ransom is still on the board for an at-large selection to the 2026 DIII Men's Tennis Championships.
