INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Five athletes from Occidental's men's and women's tennis programs were selected as College Sports Communicators Academic All-District on Tuesday, May 12.
 
To qualify, student-athletes must compete in at least 75% of the team's matches while holding at least a 3.50 GPA through a minimum of three semesters – only sophomores and above are eligible.
 
Four from Oxy men's tennis, Ace Andres, Tate Ransom, Ronald Chen and Jack Yurich, while on the women's side, Lilia Tanabe was the lone selection. Ransom's on-court prowess, being ranked both in the top 50 nationally and top ten regionally in the ITA rankings throughout the season, sent him through to the CSC Academic All-American ballot to be released later in May.
