GENEVA, Ohio – Occidental Track & Field completed its season at the 2025 NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio over the weekend.
On Thursday, May 22,
Renn Stearns and
Jenna LeNay kicked off the championships competing in the 3000 Steeplechase and 10,000 meter runs respectively. On Friday, May 23,
Shane Kawakami-Williams finished up the Tigers' trip with the 100-meter dash.
Kawakami-Williams surpassed his 21
st-ranked seeding, finishing the event ranked 19
th in the nation. The sophomore ran the event in 10.77.
LeNay placed 21
st in the 10k, running 37:21.21 and Stearns finished 22
nd in the steeplechase – 9:39.97.
Stearns wraps up his Occidental career at the NCAA Championships. He also holds the program record in the steeplechase at 8:57.51.
Kawakami-Williams and LeNay will return to the track in the 2025-26. LeNay looks to return to both the Cross Country and Track championships – it would be her third-straight appearance at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
