RENO, Nev. – Track and Field traveled to Reno over the weekend for the Wolfpack Invitational, hosted by the University of Nevada.
Shane Kawakami-Williams headlined the Tigers' performers, posting impressive times and beating high-level competition.

Kawakami-Williams won his heat in both the 60-meter dash (6.89) and 200-meter dash (21.33). The junior was just .06 seconds off his personal best time in the 200, although the race was ran indoors. Kawakami-Williams looks to qualify for the Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships later in mid-March.

On the women's side,
Abbi Lorett placed sixth in the javelin (4.82m), while
Brooke Tompkins (1:01.87) and
Phoebe Ogden (59.95) finished second in their respective heats of the 400.

Milena Taschian (7.94) and
Emma Shiffler (7.95) debuted with sub-eight finishes in the 60.

James Buellesbach opened the season with a finals appearance in the 60-meter hurdles. Buellesbach impressed as a first-year, but showed out to open his sophomore campaign, beating Division I competitors to earn a qualifying time. His finals time improved to 8.27.

Emerson Ames rounded out the standout performers on the men's side. He won his heat of the 200 (22.12) and earned a seventh-place nod in the long jump (6.93m).
