CLAREMONT, Calif. – Men's and Women's Track and Field earned third place finishes at the SCIAC Quad Cup Championship, scoring 119 and 112 points respectively.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
Â
Shane Kawakami-Williams led the Tigers with victories in the 100- and 200-meter dash, notching some of the nation's best marks in the events. His 100 time of 10.40 is his personal best, school record and currently the best time in the country. The 200 time is the third-best in both the nation and program history and marks a personal best.

Peter Villano,
James Buellesbach,
Derek Jimenez and Noe Barraza helped the Tigers pick up 23 points in the 400 hurdles. It was Oxy's highest scoring event on the day.

Kawakami-Williams and
Zachary McGraw notched 18 points in the 100. McGraw ran a personal-best 10.74.

The men earned 10 or more points in three other events, including the 200, High Jump and 110 hurdles. Buellesbach won the 110 hurdles and
Sy Coles placed second in the high jump (1.9 meters).
Maurice Romanyshyn placed second in the javelin with a mark of 48.63.

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
Â
The Tigers impressed in mid-distance sprints, winning the 400, 800 and 4x4 relay.
Phoebe Ogden and
Delphine Way, both members of the relay squad, picked up 10 points with wins in the four and eight respectively.
Skylar Cottell and
Amelia Vena joined the duo as the victorious 4x4 squad wiped the field by eight seconds.

Mai Linh Wong, relatively fresh off of a SCIAC Field Athlete of the Week nomination, won the high jump, leaping past 1.55 meters to secure the victory.

Other standout performances to note – Zoe Hrabe placed second in the PV (3.37m) and
Milena Taschian earned a third-place finish in the 100 (12.54).
Brooke Tompkins placed second in the 400 hurdles (1:04.98) and
Megan Cover notched a tie for second place in the steeplechase (11:23.27).
