LA CROSSE, Wis. – James Buellesbach placed 13^th in the 110 Hurdles on Friday, May 22 at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, earning a Second Team All-American nod.
 
The sophomore made his debut at the NCAA Championships, running a 14.65 in the short-sprint hurdle event. Coming into the championships ranked 15^th in the country, Buellesbach jumped two spots in his performance.
 
Ninth through 16^th place earned second team honors, while the top eight were first teamers. Buellesbach did not qualify for the finals in the event.
 
Shane Kawakami-Williams was the other Tiger competing at nationals. Kawakami-Williams went into the event ranked seventh in the nation in the 200 and 15^th in the 100. He wrapped up the meet in 17^th place in the 200 (21.62) and 21^st in the 100 (10.68).
 
Both will return next season with more experience under their belts, hoping to make another run on the national stage.
