LA MIRADA, Calif. (Mar. 23, 2010) – The Tigers were
reeling as of late, dropping five straight, heading into a road
dual with Biola. The Black and Orange started fast winning
five of the first six matches to secure the victory.
Isabelle Ying and Kris Subbiah
started quick, winning 8-2 in the opening doubles match.
Followed by a solid win by Katrina Gould and
Jessica Go and the Tigers were off and running.
Up 2-1 going into singles, Oxy left nothing to chance, after
losing their last dual in the final match, the Tigers notched
three straight wins to clinch the victory.
Subbiah, Gould and Go all recorded sweeps. But Biola did
not go away, winning their final three matches to come up just
short in the 5-4 Tiger win.
Next up for the Tigers (3-8) is another non conference tilt as
they host the Banana Slugs from UC Santa Cruz this Friday, March
26th, with first serve scheduled for 4:30pm.
