LOS ANGELES — Samantha Farrell led the Occidental women's tennis team with a pair of wins as the Tigers earned their first victory of the season, defeating Hope International 6-3 at Occidental on Thursday.

Season Impact: The Tigers improve to 1-1 on the season.

Hope falls to 1-2 on the year.

Farrell defeated Sabrina Miller at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-2 and teamed up with Keilani Bonis-Ericksen for a win at No. 1 doubles against Miller and Haley Robles, 8-3.

Nicole Castro, Lauren Hutkin and Hannah Munkacsi all won their singles matches. Hutkin and Isabella Korfmann rounded out Oxy's wins with a victory at No 3 doubles.

Next Match: The Tigers are back in action on Sunday at Pomona-Pitzer at 3 p.m.
