Tigers Finish Regular Season at Chapman

LOS ANGELES -- Isa Kibira earned another singles win and the Occidental men's team took 2 of 3 doubles matches in their regular season finale against Chapman on Friday.

But Kibira's victory was all Oxy could pick up in the singles, falling 6-3 to the Panthers.

Kibira won at No. 4 singles, beating Matthew Mead, 6-2, 6-2. The junior from Minneapolis improves to 6-9 on the year with the most singles victories on the team.

Cameron Coe and Isaiah Bird won one of the most exciting matches of the day at No. 2 doubles, edging Josh Sarsfield and Len Kamemoto, 9-8 (8-6).

Oxy's other win came at No. 3 doubles by Vincent Bartholomew and Ivan Derrick, who took down Darrus Lee and and Brock DeHaven 9-7.

Season Impact: Oxy falls to 4-12 overall and 0-7 in SCIAC play.
