Kibira, Chmielewski Win at No. 3 Doubles

LOS ANGELES — The Occidental men's tennis team fell in its first SCIAC match of the season to No. 12 Pomona-Pitzer, 8-1.

Oxy's victory came at No. 3 doubles. Isa Kibira and Lucas Chmielewski teamed up to beat Joey Schwartz and Quinn Hirsohn, 8-6.

Chmielewski was also competitive at No. 2 singles against Octave Bellet and Kibira gave Hirsohn a run at No. 6 singles.

Oxy is back in action on Feb. 17 against No. 11 Redlands.
