Los Angeles, CA - The morning after the Tigers played Cal Lutheran, they took on Redlands at home. Redlands women's tennis has had a notable season so far with a record of 8-5, (3-1 SCIAC), and they went into the duel Saturday morning with confidence. Although the Tigers lost 0-9, they showed their willingness to compete through a long weekend of tennis and high temperatures. They challenged the Bulldogs with some close matches.

In doubles, Alexis Matabuena and Dana Edson nearly took a point for the Tigers at the #2 spot. They held the lead for most of the match, working well together and constructing smart points. They ultimately lost the pro-set 7-8 in a tiebreaker.

At #1 doubles, Andei Fukushige and Sarah Fleming were able to bounce back after a slow start and take 3 games. At #2 doubles, Xavi Campbell and Emma Silber played a close pro-set, managing to take 5 games off the Bulldogs.

Other notable matches from the day included Fukushige's battle at #1 singles where she earned several hard-won points. She faced a tough serve from her opponent but managed to fire back with her forehand and win 6 games during the match.

Emma Silber also played a tough match and constructed some good points. Even though she lost 3-6, 3-6, she was the last match to finish and fought till the end.
