LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Jackson Frons was elevated to Associate Head Coach of the men's tennis program in July 2025.

No stranger to Division III athletics, Frons was a member of the 2015 Middlebury men's tennis team that reached the National Championship, falling to Claremont-M-S in the title match. During that season, Frons helped the Panthers win the NESCAC title while reaching a career-best 44th in the ITA National Singles Rankings. His career singles record was 51-21. Academically, Frons graduated with a bachelor's degree in English and American Literature.

In addition to coaching tennis, Frons has been a visiting faculty member in the Creative Writing Department at his Alma Mater and served as a Graduate Writing Instructor at Syracuse University, where he earned a Masters of Fine Art in Fiction (2021). His reporting appears regularly in OPEN Tennis Magazine.

With the promotion, Stephen Perkins will serve as the Director of Tennis and Head Women's Tennis Coach. Perkins will continue to oversee recruiting and administrative duties of the men's program, while leading the women's team.
