A sneak peek (January 7-11, 2026)
 
Men's Basketball
  • The Tigers are off to their best start, 9-2, since the 2018-19 campaign
  • The Tigers are top 40 in the country in (scoring offense, rebounds per game [5th], assists per game, field goal percentage and scoring margin)
  • 1/7 at No. 11 Claremont-M-S – the Stags have consistently climbed the national leaderboard and remain as one of five unbeaten teams in all of Division III
  • 1/10 at Caltech – Oxy opened the season back on 11/8 with a 32-point win over the Beavers
 
Women's Basketball
  • The tale of two Tigers – Oxy is 5-1 when scoring 60 or more points this season
  • Ainsley Shelsta has been stellar since returning from injury, averaging 12.7 points and 8.5 rebounds in just 19.8 minutes per game.
  • 1/7 vs Claremont-M-S – the Athenas have impressed to open 2025-26, going 10-2 and 4-0 in SCIAC play
  • 1/10 at Caltech – Caltech is 2-8 on the season, most recently losing back-to-back contests with CMS
 
Swimming & Diving
  • Eight Tigers won events in the Tigers' meet with Division II Fresno Pacific on January 5.
  • Connor Grant and Amanda George lead the Tigers' respective squads, Grant ranks 35th in the SCIAC and George ranks 33rd.
  • 1/10 vs Claremont-M-S – the Stags and Athenas are historically two of the top programs in the conference. The Stags have won six-straight SCIAC titles while the Athenas were runners-up a season ago.
  • 1/11 vs Colorado College – The Colorado College Tigers have traveled all across the nation for their meets this season. Their lone Division III victory came against Augustana (Ill.) back in October.
