A sneak peek (March 2-15)

Women's Tennis
  • The Tigers are back in action in Santa Cruz over spring break. They face Sewanee and UC Santa Cruz
  • Looking ahead, they return home to close the week against Vassar.

Men's Tennis
  • The Tigers travel to Santa Cruz along with the women's team to face Sewanee and UC Santa Cruz. They return home to take on Hope International later in the week.

Baseball
  • Oxy Baseball is the lone team in the spring without a trip outside of Southern California planned.
  • They host Puget Sound (3/6-7) and Curry College (3/12-14) in a pair three game series.
  • The Tigers are off to their best start to a season (9-3) since 2019, the last time they reached the SCIAC tournament.

Softball
  • Softball hosts Gustavus Adolphus in a doubleheader before flying to Hawaii for an eight-game tournament.
  • The Tigers have had tough luck this season, losing six of their eight games by three runs or less. Can the Tigers luck turn around as Coach Chris Hipa, Justice Tiberi and Lehua Acoba make their homecomings to The Aloha State?

Women's Lacrosse
  • After a week off, women's lacrosse returns March 4 to take on Claremont-M-S. While the Athenas defeated Oxy twice a season ago, their recent matchup with Chapman – a team that lost to Pomona-Pitzer this season by the same margin as the Tigers – ended in a four-goal differential.
  • Depsite a loss to Redlands in the season opener, Oxy looked good against Cal Lutheran and outscored Pomona-Pitzer 7-6 in the second half.
  • During spring break, they face Washington and Jefferson (3/9) before flying to Portland to face George Fox and Lewis & Clark (3/12 & 3/14).

Women's Water Polo
  • Oxy women's water polo will play 10 games in an 11-day span. They lead it off with a conference matchup against Cal Lutheran March 4, a game that could have major SCIAC tournament implications early in the season.
  • They return home for a single game against Salem before the four-game Claremont Convergence tournament from March 6-7.
  • That's followed with a pair of non-conference matchups before getting right back into SCIAC play with CMS and Redlands on the road.

Track & Field
  • It's a big week for Oxy Track & Field as the Tigers host a pair of meets and Shane Kawakami-Williams gears up for the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships.
  • The SCIAC Quad Cup Qualifier, hosted by Oxy, on March 7 will determine if the Tigers can reach the SCIAC Quad Cup final later in the regular season. This meet gives a solid idea at the conference standings heading into SCIAC Championships.
  • The Oxy Distance Carnival follows on 3/14. Teams from across the country will travel to compete
  • Shane Kawakami-Williams is firmly in the mix for the 60-meter and 200-meter dash at the Indoor Championships. The junior is 12th and 11th respectively, with the top 20 in the event qualifying.
