A sneak peek (October 30 - November 4)

Men's Soccer
  • Yordan Marinov's two game-tying goals, both coming in the second half, keep the Tigers' SCIAC tournament hopes alive.
  • 10/31 vs Caltech: The final match of the regular season is the biggest of the year, with a trip to the tournament on the line. The Tigers won the first meeting 6-0, but since, Caltech has knocked off CMS 5-1.
  • A Little Help: The Tigers, who must win on Saturday, will be watching the Pomona-Pitzer Cal Lutheran & Claremont-M-S Whittier matches closely. A Sagehen loss or draw or a Whittier loss will help Oxy punch its ticket.

Women's Soccer
  • Oxy picked up a must-win game at Redlands, stumping the Bulldogs 3-0 on a pair of Diana Reyes-Sanchez goals.
  • 10/31 at CMS: The Tigers face the Athenas for the second time this season. The first meeting was a tough outcome for Oxy, losing 4-0, but Melanie Rodriguez has been as sharp as ever, saving 17 goals over her last two matches
  • Control Their Destiny: A win over the Athenas gives the Tigers a tie for 4th with Chapman. The tiebreaker would be in favor of the Tigers with Oxy beating Redlands twice and Chapman losing once. A tie and the Tigers are locked in as the fifth seed. With a loss, the only path in would be a La Verne defeat against Caltech.

Cross Country
  • 10/30 at SCIAC Championships: The Tigers return to Pomona-Pitzer to take on the 2026 SCIAC Championships. The women's race kicks off the day at 9:00 a.m., promptly followed by the men at 9:45 a.m. Occidental's Jack Elfenbaum is looking to feed off his second-place finish in 2026 and help the men catapult into the conference's top five. On the women's side, it's a brand new group of Tigers competing with their eyes set on maintaining top-three status.

Men's Water Polo
  • Another close loss for the Tigers on Wednesday. Oxy led through the majority of the first half, and even tied the game in the fourth, but Whittier put together a pair of long scoring runs to take it.
  • 10/31 at Cal Lutheran: A rematch with the Kingsmen comes on Saturday. It was a tight battle at the end of September and, like Whittier, Cal Lu pulled away late.
  • 11/4 at Chapman: Same story different day with the Panthers. In their last meeting it was close for the entirety of the game, but Chapman pulled away for a 15-12 win.

Women's Volleyball
  • Sloane Shoop hammered 20 kills in the Tigers' win over Caltech. It was the first time Oxy beat Caltech at home since 2023.
  • 10/31 at Redlands: Oxy is looking to sweep the season series with Redlands. A win would give Oxy its most SCIAC wins in a season (four) since 2021.
  • 11/3 at Cal Lutheran: A tough matchup on the road against one of the best in the conference. The Tigers earned a set off of the Regals at home on October 6.
